Rick has spent more than twenty-five years collaborating with advocacy organizations to effect change in societal attitudes towards individuals living with genetic\, physical\, behavioral or intellectual differences by replacing dehumanizing representations with positive images. \n\n\nWhat’s your thing? is presented in collaboration with Precision Medicine in Autism (PRISMA) and features participants from Rhode Island and Edmonton\, Canada. PRISMA is a multidisciplinary effort based at the University of Alberta that seeks to understand the unique and diverse worlds of people on the autism spectrum and support their health through genomics across research\, clinical care\, education\, and community engagement. \nA family/friends reception is planned at the exhibit for \nSaturday\, April 20th from 2-4pm.   \nPlease RSVP with names of people planning to attend.  \n\n\n\n\n\nMuseum of Work and Culture\n42 South Main Street\nWoonsocket\, RI 02895\n\nsecond floor\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImage Description: Postcard: Assorted portraits against a black background. \n\n\n\n\nThroughout our work we honor and celebrate each person’s uniqueness as we learn about their specific interests and passions\, their “things”\, which has now become the basis of our campaign #whatsyourthing. We all have our “things”; we invite you to reflect on your own interests and passions\, focusing on how the universality of the emotions that come up brings us all together beyond the constraints of any diagnoses. \n\n\n\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n
