Artists then transformed them into their heroic alter egos — bold visual portraits that reflect each one’s identity\, courage\, and creativity. \nExplore the uplifting exhibit\, join the discussion\, and be inspired all month long! \nEvents are free and open to the community. All of these conditions are related due to the type of DNA repair disorder they have called nucleotide excision repair (NER) \nCockayne syndrome is a rare autosomal recessive genetic disorder resulting from a DNA repair defect\, leading to heightened sensitivity of cells in affected individuals to the lethal effects of UV light.
