About: Since 2014, NYCB Access Programs have provided experiences for children and adults with disabilities to interact with the Company. Watch how ballet can benefit anybody and everybody, including one young girl who got to live her dream of being a ballerina.

The ballet program is one of the most adaptable for the diversity of needs and the best part is that adaptation takes place in the moment of participation. My son has benefited from this remarkable program and I look forward to his future participation. The instructors look for the opportunity to be helpful in the facilitation that works best for each individual. That’s key to the success of participation and inclusion. The flexibility to be innovative for the partipants in the moment. Seeing opportunity for engagement and not losing interest. Empowerment by recognized strengths and allowing those strengths to be on spotlight. Thanks.
