Faces Redefining the Art of Medical Education (FRAME): Visual Arts Advancing Education and Training in Healthcare for Individuals with IDD

Often health care practitioners do not receive significant education and training about the health issues and concerns facing those with IDD. Training that is typically provided is usually very academic, clinical and sterile in its mode of presentation. Rick Guidotti and Positive Exposure has developed a unique visual arts project that has been crafted towards healthcare practitioners in training; Project FRAME (Faces Redefining the Art of Medical Education). This presentation by Rick Guidotti as well as by Seth Keller MD will review a new Project FRAME effort focusing on persons with epilepsy and early-onset Alzheimer’s disease in adults with Down syndrome, as well as Supported Decision Making.
