We have partnered with the Josephine Herrick Project t0 host a 12-week photo program for individuals with traumatic brain injuries and those who care for them or work in the field.
These classes will cover the basics of photography, composition, and visual storytelling, and will work in a series of projects that include tactile elements.
The Josephine Herrick Project, located around the corner from us at 64 Fulton Street, aims to amplify underrepresented voices through photography, giving people the tools to see differently, communicate across cultures, and advocate for themselves and their communities.
The JHP is partnering with a chapter of the Brain Injury Association of New York State to offer this program. This project is made possible through a Challenge America grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA).
