Our District 75 Art Show featured the colorful and imaginative works of students all across the city. As soon as their teachers and peers learned that these talented artists had been selected to show their work in our gallery, many of them couldn’t wait to see the work in person.

The result was several weeks packed with field trips, some classes taking buses from over an hour away in Brooklyn. In the gallery, they participated in scavenger hunts, looking for details in the art, as well as free-drawing inspired by the show. Everyone was excited to look around and find their own, or a friend’s name on the wall! Students were equally intrigued by the works of artists they didn’t know, sometimes writing notes to these artists in appreciation or admiration.
