On Saturday July 12, my parents and I decided to leave at 7am on our way to Canada.   It was a 6 hours drive which wasn’t bad. We did make two stops.  Our last stop was lunch at The Barn Restaurant. They have the best ice cream ever there. My mom and I both got an ice cream called Bittersweet Sinphony.  Then we finally made it to Canada about 3pm.  Then a couple hours later. We decided to go on the Sky-wheel even though my dad didn’t want to go on it.  Then we saw the Nigeria Falls and it was so pretty.  For dinner we went to a Winery.   Then we went back to the hotel to go to sleep.

Sunday July 13 we left hotel to meet our friends for the Maid of the Mist which isn’t technically true if you are on Canada. My parent’s friends, Julie and Dennis came.  My friends from Michigan came like Kaylyn, Kristen, Jeff and their foster daughter Trinity. I would like to say we got super lucky since the boat wasn’t crowded with people but you definitely get wet even if you are wearing a poncho.  I was probably the driest one because I hold the poncho against my clothes and only my head and hair got wet.  While my dad didn’t even wear his at all.  Then after that we all went out to lunch together.  After that I went back with my friend Kaylyn to the hotel since we were both volunteering handing out the name tags. I almost didn’t recognize one of my friend Ava’s brother because he got super tall and his name Will.  Will was helping at the name tags with someone else.  Of course everyone asking where my parents are and I’m like I don’t know.  Then later that night we were At Boston Pizza having drinks and Nachos.  My friend Kelsie come down to join us and the Ross decided to join us because he wanting his dinner.  Then we all went to the welcome party. Before I went to bed, I set a reminder text to all my friends to wear our Giggles Girl shirt. Then we all went to bed.

Monday July 14 was the first full day of the conference.  After I had breakfast and then I went to deliver food to a friend.  I even said “ I remember you.”  Then I went to make some cards for the first activity. My friend, Kelsie miss breakfast and she decided to go to the breakfast buffet and she got a free breakfast from the worker name Denise.  Then we went to meet the Police Officer and Fire Fighter last second because I know everything about firefighters.  We got to see the Police Car.  Then it was lunchtime and we took a walk after lunch.  Then it was next activity with was yoga.  It was difficult to do in a skort and now I understand why you should wear comfortable clothes. Even during yoga, one of my mom friends, Julie was asking if I would like to help Jake during bingo.  Of course I said yes.  Jake was so close of winning so many times.  Even though our table was definitely crowded but 3 people one at our tables.   My friend Jessica won but she quiet so we had to speak up. My friend Lauren won even though there was 2 winning during that round but they didn’t hear it so I had to speak up. Saying she got Bingo too.   2nd to last round of Bingo,  I won. Jake was so close at winning every round. The prizes you got was a recycling makeup bag and I pick a moose keychain.  After  bingo we all got chocolate.  I did help Jake to get chocolate and he choose areo.  Of course I chose the smarties. Jake wanted to eat it but I wanted to make sure he wasn’t allergic to anything.  I finally got the answer he could have it but of course I dropped and land on the floor. So lucky a friend got another one for him and he enjoyed it.  It was time for the group photos.  It was hot outside for the pictures. The last picture was with everyone in with was hard.  I think it was funny that everyone in the front row was like we are done because it was too hot.  After then picture we all went up to our rooms.  Let tried to get all together with our matches shirts.  We got 5 out 6.  So Kelsie and I decided to go get her for the picture since I knew her room # even though I wasn’t 100% sure.  Then we all walk down to take a pictures together.  After that Kelsie and I had to get ready for dinner since we were going to Kochi.  Another self advocate Shannon planned the outing. There was only 7 of u going and that perfect size group for me.  Who went were Talia, Ross, Megan, Ace, Kelsie, Shannon and I.  I’m so happy that I choose that dinner because it was so much fun.  We got to cook our own food and yes there was flames.  I even told the table my mom would freak out by this.   After dinner went back to the hotel to go to bed. Except my friend Kelsie had to sleep somewhere else because she wasn’t with comfortable sleep with her parents.  My parents let her sleep with us.  It was my first time sleeping with a friend in a bed.  My parents want to make sure she was safe.

Tuesday July 15 it was the second full day of the conference.  Everyone woke up and plus I heard talking. As soon as I woke up Kelsie and I just started talking away.  My dad got us breakfast to eat up in the room.  Kelsie finally went back to her hotel room. Even though we did miss some of the crafts activities.  I went downstairs to the next section of the crafts.  I only did the 2 crafts that look fun which were making bracelets and putting shells in a jar.  Then it was lunch.  Kelsie and I got lunch together.  After lunch it was time for the scavenger hunt. I was so happy my friend Kaylyn was doing it this year.  I’m made sure she was in my group.  My group included Becky,Susan,Sara,Katelyn, Kaylyn and I.  Our group didn’t give up like some of the other groups. We did get some help from Kaylyn’s dad.  Then I got invited to go the waterpark with Kelsie and Ross but I decided to hang out with Kaylyn for a little. I did invite my friend Ava to join.  When Ava came we went on a couple waterslide. It was so much fun going waterslide with a friend.  I’m was glad my friend Lauren came. She got to hang out with Ross and Kelsie.  I decided to go up to my room for a bit and get ready for the special night.  It was the Self Advocate nights at Boston Pizza then a Magic Show.  The 2 people who were in charge Kristen and Shelly got us cake and gluten free cookies for dessert from Costco.  I was sitting next to Becky and Alyson. One of Self Advocate Antia, got to be in it. My favorite part of the Magic show, was how he turn bowl a fish into a dog.  As soon as I saw that, I immediately text my friend Kaylyn because she loved dog.  Everyone got up to pet the dog except for 2 people.  I was nice and I let someone in front of me because I didn’t want her to go all the back of the line with her rollarable.  Lucky I did because it took 3 people to get that walker with a sit on the stage.   Then Kaylyn and I finally got to pet the dog and got a picture together. Then after the magic show we went to our room. Ross, Kelsie and I went to get Dippin dots.  That was my first time having Dippin dots and they so good.  I went to hang out at Boston to see who was there. I saw Liz really wanted her sister. So I signed to ask her and she said yes. So I went to get her sister.  Then Liz signed that she was going to her room. My dad like what she said.  Then we all went to our hotels room.

Wednesday July 15 was the last day of the conference.  My parents let me sleep in since I have been helping a lot.  I woke up and had breakfast in my room.  Then I went down to watch the Self Advocate Panels.  My parents got invite for the Canada luncheon.  We asked if mrs. Kristen  and Kaylyn could come down. They said yes.  They talk about how much they should donate to the conference.  After that I did the sniff test.  I hang out with Kaylyn making bracelets.  Then she went to do her sniff. After that we got our makeup done for the Starfish dance.  Then I decided to relax a little and chill out.   It was finally time for the dance. My dad got me a for my friends.  My friends come through the back-way to the table.   The dinner was a little different this year.  We had to serve our self this year but luckily Macy’s mom was at the table next to us. She help some people. I served Kaylyn because she super picky but she did have the roast beef.  Once Lillian got her food which was chicken.  I ask her if she needed help cutting her food and she said yes.  So I went over to cut it for her.  Then dessert came.  I decided to go around the whole with tray.  No one at my table know what a cream puff.  So I picked up and ate it.  It was a cream puff.   Then first song came one.  When I finally joined the dance with friends the worst song came on.   I did dance the rest of the night with my friends.   When the last song came on. I decided to find Ava to dance with her since it was the last.  I dance with Ava,Daniel, Antia for a little bit.  Then I went back to joined my friends for the last part of the songs.  It was time to say goodbye to everyone.  I did hang out with my friends a little bit longer.  I decided to hang out with the parents and some friends at Boston Pizza.   It was finally time to say goodbye.

Thursday July 16 is was time to go home.  We only made 2 stops on the way back. Our last stop was for lunch at the place called GoodWils.  Then we finally made it home.
