Quemuel “Q” Arroyo serves as the first Chief Accessibility Officer at the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), leading policy initiatives and programs to expand accessibility on the city’s subways, buses, and public transit systems. Before his work at MTA, Q headed Community at Charge, an e-scooter charging, and docking company. Governments, non-profits, and the private sector have recognized Q’s efforts in creating accessible, inclusive design. He also serves on the boards at NYC Outward Bound Schools, Hudson River Community Sailing, Heidi Latsky Dance, and Project Sunshine.x
