All Riders

The battle for accessibility in the New York City subway system, as told by those fighting it.

Monday, September 29, 6-8pm

Now streaming on PBS, All Riders is a documentary short by award-winning filmmaker Victor Dias Rodrigues that explores the fight for accessibility in the New York City subway. Sparked by the tragic death of 22-year-old Malaysia Goodson, who died while carrying her infant daughter in a stroller down subway stairs, the film traces how this loss galvanized a movement.
Through the voices of activists on the frontlines and insights from government stakeholders, All Riders reveals the profound human impact of an issue that touches every New Yorker. The film had its theatrical premiere at the IFC Center as part of the 2021 DOC NYC film festival, the largest documentary festival in the United States.
