TONIGHT: Virtual Release the Butterfly Concert

Hopefully, you tuned in this afternoon to watch my interview with Rick Guidotti on Positive Exposure Connects!  I had a blast talking with all of you.  As I mentioned, tonight we are holding a virtual benefit concert called “Release the Butterfly” to raise awareness and funds for FIRST (Foundation for Ichthyosis & Related Skin Types).

You can catch us 8 PM ET on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FoundationforIchthyosis/

Or on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/firstskinfoundation

You are in for a treat with so many talented performers!  Here is our line-up.

  • Our fabulous host and MC for the evening is Abby Evans.  Abby has lamellar ichthyosis and will do a great job taking us through the evening.
  • Our first performer for the evening will be Hunter Steinitz who has harlequin ichthyosis and is a lover of all things theatre.  You will get to hear her vocal chops as well as watch her perform a powerful monologue she wrote about living with ichthyosis.
  • We have brother/sister duo Jacob & Abigail Mosier.  Jacob is a man of many talents and he will be singing and playing guitar, while Abigail bares her soul through dance.  Fun fact: Abigail is my current roommate!  She was a dance student of mine. And Jacob is a college student at Belmont University in Nashville.
  • My Mom, Tracie Pretak, will be providing a soulful singer/songwriter kind of song about waiting for the day that the world changes and you can just be you.
  • Portia Cina, is a middle school student with ichthyosis en confetti, and she is a superstar!  She literally holds the audience in the palm of her hands.
  • Brianna Blankenship is an upcoming country star who was a former voice student of my Mom’s.  She will be performing an inspirational country favorite.
  • Mikela Murphy is my friend who is very talented on the violin.  Wait until you hear her play!  She has lamellar/CIE ichthyosis.
  • Ceddie Conway is the worship leader at my church and he will be offering up a wonderful worship song as he sings and plays guitar.
  • Natalie Hann is my best friend.  We were randomly placed together as roommates in college and ended up living all four years together.  Your kids are going to love watching her perform a favorite Disney song with her powerhouse vocals!
  • Ross Bish is a friend that I have accompanied for years.  He loves to perform jazz songs and this one is no exception.  Plus, you’ll get to see me playing some jazz piano.
  • Of course, I’m performing as well.  You’ll get to hear me belt out one of my favorite Broadway songs.  Broadway or bust!

Here are headshots of all the performers.  Can’t wait to have you tune in tonight!  Enjoy!
