Hi Everyone!

I just got back from my trip to De Smet, South Dakota to visit the Ingalls homestead. Have you read the Laura Ingalls Wilder books like Little House on the Prairie or On the Banks of Plum Creek?  I love all the Little House Books.  We visited Walnut Grove, MN where the site of their dugout was and there is a museum there too which is about the TV show mostly.  Their dugout doesn’t exist anymore because it caved in but there is a sign there. We saw Plum Creek too.

After Walnut Grove we went to Desmet where their big homestead was.  It is still there. We saw their home and the school house too.  We visited their home in the town too. It was so cool. I am going to reread all the books now.
