Diamond Children’s Hospital

Diamond Children’s Hospital

At the start of last year, I knew I wanted to get involved somehow with the Tucson community I call home while going to school in the city. Throughout last year I looked, but it wasn’t until this year when I started actively working somewhere. I now volunteer once a week at the Tucson Diamond Children’s hospital. I work at the library where we have books and games. Much of the time I sit at the desk and get things for people. Many kids come in and paint, play games, read, draw, and get their mind off whatever might be going on. For me, it feels great to be paying it forward after all of the tremendous medical treatment I have received over my life. I am excited about what is to come in the future!
