Diamondbacks Game

The day was a blast from start to finish. I was joining SMA, a sports marketing club on campus, on a networking trip to Chase Field to see the Diamondbacks play up in Phoenix. I walked over to McKale Center where I was meeting everyone. I arrived right when the CatTran (campus shuttle) showed up which would take us up to Phoenix. The ride up there was quick and uneventful as I listened to music. When we arrived at Chase Field at around 2 PM, we all walked over to one of the entrances. We then went through security before getting a bobblehead (It was bobblehead night) and starting the tour. Everything we saw was very familiar because we saw the same stuff last year when we went on the same networking trip. After seeing the owners box, standing at a good view behind home plate, going down to field level, and walking through the tunnels near the player’s clubhouse we headed up for an hour or so of hearing from DBack personnel and networking with them. As the networking concluded we found our seats and got ready for the game. After the game started, I decided to find some food as I was quite hungry given I hadn’t eaten all day. As I was sitting down, I saw people going by with Dutch Bros (a fantastic restaurant in Phoenix). I decided to find it and try something from the place here at the field. I got a strawberry smoothie and then bought a $12 yes $12 mini pizza. I then went back to my seat and started to eat. A friend sitting next to me forgot his wallet on the bus so he asked if I’d get him some Dutch Bros if he Venmoed me back. I said of course and headed back that way. I also took the opportunity to grab napkins because although the pizza was small, it was incredibly messy. After getting back to my seat, the rest of the game flew by. When the DBacks won we headed out to the CatTran which was waiting for us. During the ride back to Tucson I slept for a bit which made the ride go by incredibly fast. Before I knew it, we were back in Tucson and back on campus.
