On Labor Day weekend, I went to see Duran Duran, Chic and Nile Rodgers in concert in Canandaigua, New York in the Finger Lakes. They were really great and they sang Super Freak by Rick James, Save a Prayer, The Wild Boys, Girls on Film, A View to a Kill (from James Bond’s A View to a Kill), Anniversary, Waiting for the Night Boat, Give It All Up by Tove Lo and Duran Duran (one of the backup singers Rachael O’Connor sang the Tove Lo part of Give It All Up), Planet Earth, Come Undone (with one of the backup singers Anna Ross), Ordinary World, The Reflex, Hungry Like the Wolf, Careless Memories, Is There something I should know?, and many of the Duran Duran classics you’ve heard.

Chic and Nile Rodgers sang Le Freak, Good Times, Dance, Dance, Dance (Wowsah, Wowsah, Wowsah), Material Girl and Like a Virgin by Madonna, Cuff It by Beyonce, Upside Down and I’m Coming Out by Diana Ross, I wanna be your lover by Prince and many more songs by Chic and Nile Rodgers. It was really great. I bought a Duran Duran Future Past tour t-shirt and a poster of Duran Duran on their Future Past tour. Unfortunately, Bastille didn’t get to perform, because they had Covid, but I really want to see Bastille with Duran Duran and Chic again (hopefully in the future). If not I’ll find a video of Bastille performing with Duran Duran and Chic. Although, I love Bastille’s music: Happier with Marshmellow, Good Grief and Pompeii. I think it was really great. I was on the VIP guest list for Duran Duran and I’m hoping that they will see my blog or social medias), get more of their merchandise and their records at a record store or thrift shop somewhere in NYC. I also went on a hiking trip to Watkins Glen, New York and it was very peaceful.
