I taught 2 sections (back to back) of FREN 1001.  First thing that happened in my first class: a student asked if I was the instructor (!!!) while I was standing in front of the room.  I’m not exactly sure why this student thought I wasn’t an instructor.  I tried to make myself look more professional i.e. students by UGA’s definition which would include oversized T-shirts and Nike shorts. ‍♀️ Oh well, live and learn….
