First music therapy conference
By: Rachel
Thursday through Saturday was my first music therapy conference! I am a graduate student member of American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and this conference was the Great Lakes Regional (GLR) chapter conference.
Compared to the MMTA conference I go to in the summer for music teachers, this conference was bigger, and I knew less people. However, I am glad I got the opportunity to start making friends with more experienced music therapists and become better friends with my peers and cohort.
Apperantly there is a huge, “historic” blizzard in Minnesota, so our flights got canceled. We are now staying in our hotel in Michigan another night and will hopefully be back Monday or Tuesday!
