I worked so hard raising my pig for the Fort Bend County Fair. Her name was Peppa. I had her for about 4 months and it was a blast. She had such a cool personality, sweet and sassy! I worked really hard by walking her and feeding her specific feeds and vitamins to get her to look as good as possible for the show. Once show time came in September I was super nervous, I walked into the show arena and the judge put Peppa and I into a pen right away (which is a good thing…it means the judge likes how Peppa looked). After he looked at all the other pigs in Peppa’s class, it was finally our time to walk out in the ring. The 5 minutes I was in the arena walking Peppa was so stressful, but Peppa listened very well and got her head up nicely. I competed and placed second in my class! About a week later, since I made 2nd place, I got to take Peppa to auction. An engineering company bought her. I was so sad to see her leave, because I love Peppa so much……..Now I’m planning on raising a steer for the Fort Bend County Fair (a cow) and I’m super excited!!!!!
