I like to read about my health conditions sometimes so I know more about them and how to make myself healthier. I am very allergic to gluten and it’s important to me that I know how to eat good healthy food and still be safe. It was hard at first but now I am really good at knowing what is safe and what isn’t. I’m going to start making more cooking videos. I like doing that.
Gluten is in a lot of things and especially in bread and baked goods. It can be in stuff you wouldn’t know about too — like soup and all kinds of things. I wasn’t able to buy hot lunch at school for a while. Now, my mom helped set up gluten free ones with the school lunch lady. They use different ingredients. My sister and I are really happy about that. I can get sick from crumbs from gluten ingredients so the lunch lady is very careful and wears different gloves when she makes our food. People are really nice once they understand how important not eating gluten is to me and how I feel. I feel lucky to know more about my body and how to be healthier.
