Hello!
By: Madison
Hi my name is Madison and I have a really rare syndrome called Toriello-Carey Syndrome. When I was born my mom and dad were told that I was one of 12 or 13 children in the world with this same syndrome . That makes me really special, I live with my mom, dad and younger sister Emma; that makes me the big sister. I go to a special school where there are other special needs kids who have all kinds of different syndromes but we don’t worry about what they are. The teachers and staff are amazing in the way that they teach us and care for us; we have so much fun. A highlight for me is “Wheelchair Dancing” at “Folkfest”, able bodied students from another school come and dance with us in a hockey arena; so much fun! This summer my mom and dad are planning other fun stuff like a creative arts day camp and summer camp where I will get to play in the lake and sleep in cabin for a week.
