Christmas holidays in Lima Peru

• 18th December- Arrived in Peru in the early morning with my mum, slept a lot. We also went to Banco de la Nacion (National Bank). We ate roast chicken at a place called Don Tito.
• 19th We had lunch at our Aunties House, we also had a light dinner of cocoa with oats. The economic situation is dire, because of the President PPK (Pedro Pablo Kuzckinzki) and a past Presidency.
• 20th December- Ruraq maki (hand made market) at the Ministry of Culture. It was really nice to see artisan products for sale from all over Peru, there was even food (bread). We had lunch at a Picanteria, which is a seafood restaurant.  For dinner we went to an Italian restaurant called La Romana. In Peru there is more of a collectivist culture than individualism like in western cultures, bit like conforming.
• 23rd December Went to a Restaurant called La Buena Muerte (literally a good death). It wasn’t like old times though, where I was excited for Christmas. I don’t feel like myself here. I never liked it in Peru, I only ever liked the food.
• 24th /25th December Christmas with my auntie and friends. We had champagne and waited till midnight to open the presents. I’ll post more soon…….
