How music influences me as a writer the words and beat and the rhythm they use. Whenever I write, I put it in the hands of the song writer. Lyrics are the same thing as blogging telling your story and thoughts except the only reason being musical artists use beats and samples and all that to help them and writers do the same. Like for me when i hear rap it makes me wanna tell a story when i write and classic rock more chill vibes and all that especially when i listen to elton john. So whatever type i listen to i listen to the beat and get writing
