I live in the area that was affected by the flooding from Hurricane Harvey. We were put under mandatory evacuation, so my family and I went to my grandparents’ house, which is just north of Austin. It took us almost 6 hours to get there…it usually takes 3 and ½ hours to get to my grandparents’ house. Once we got there you couldn’t even tell that there was a storm down south. At my grandparents’ house we went shopping, went on hikes, and I even drove a tractor, and rode in the scoop of the tractor. I am really sad that we had to leave, and I am so thankful for our house not being flooded or damaged.
