I just recently completed 6 hours on my drivers ed. This made me eligible to get my Learners license! I got it in February the day after my birthday at the DPS office. My mom and I got there, signed in, and waited for about 30 minutes until I was called, but those 30 minutes felt like forever because I was super excited to get my permit. When I was called back I got my picture taken to be put on the permit. I was a little disappointed when I found out that day I would only get a temporary paper permit until the other one came in the mail, but it was still very exciting to get that one too. Since then I have gotten my real permit and practiced driving. I’ve done driving mostly in neighborhoods and parking lots, but I have also driven on a country road at 50 mph!!!!! Getting my permit has been cool and I am even more excited to get my license next year and be able to drive on my own!!
