I FINALLY got another new wheelchair.  Just to catch you up in case you haven’t read my other blogs, I waited 4 months for a new one and when it came it was too small!  Mom was really nervous that we were going to have a problem getting one that fit because it was a special order.  But alas, they worked with us and got me a new one in about 2 weeks.  It’s really great and I love the bright green color.  It’s much bigger than the last one so it should grow with me for a long time.  I’m on week two of ESY (extended school year).  2 weeks down and two to go and then I’m off for the last 5 weeks of summer.  It’s also almost time for my favorite vacation of the year, Smith Mountain Lake!  I love getting out on the water and also seeing my great grandparents.  My mom and sister are heading to San Antonio next week for the Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society Annual Family Conference.  I’m not making the trip with them.  I wish I could but I don’t really travel well.  There’s really not anywhere safe for me to sleep at night in a hotel.  We tried that back in March when I went to San Antonio with my parents and it didn’t go so well.  Hope you’re all having a great summer!  Here’s a picture of me in my new wheelchair.
