Nocona, Texas Wedding Blog

Last weekend my family and I went to Nocona, Texas for my dad’s friend’s daughter’s wedding. We left on friday around 5 so we got there at almost midnight. We stayed at one of the 2 hotels in the small town called the Veranda Inn. It sort of smelled like old people in the lobby haha! We pretty much went to sleep right when we got there since we were all so exhausted from that long day we had. The next morning we ate at the Bear’s Den Dinner I had two big as your face pancakes with sausage and bacon…..it was pretty good. After that we explored the town until around 5 when we had to get ready for the wedding. We went to a lot of the cute shops in town after breakfast. One of the coolest things they had there was the classic car museum…they had cars from the early 1900s all the way up till 2020. My favorite car was a turquoise car that looked like an old fashioned suburban….not sure what it’s called haha. After that we went to a super cute coffee shop nearby and I got an iced chai tea latte that was super yummy. We also went to the Old Nocona Boot Factory. It used to be the Nocona boots factory but then they moved the Nocona boots factory to El Paso. I got a cute pair of boots with purple cactuses on them from that boot place for the Fort Bend County Fair coming up this September! We ate some nachos at the restaurant next door. Pretty much right after that we went back to the our hotel, took a nap, and got ready for the wedding. We headed to the wedding venue which was really pretty, the service was outside a house on a big property with some super cute cows roaming around. We had some barbecue, danced around, and explored the property before leaving after 11!! We had to wake up early the next morning to get home for my brother’s lacrosse practice, so it was a quick trip, but definitely good to get out of the house after a couple months.
