So I will be starting orientation and mobility (O and M) at UGA in June.  What is O and M?  It basically is training for the blind or visually impaired on how to navigate a new environment safely.  I work with an instructor to learn how to navigate a new environment (in this cause it’s UGA’s campus).  I will probably learn how to use the University’s and the city’s bus system as well as learn how to get from my apartment to the part of campus where I’ll be taking classes, or just learn where important buildings are located.  In the past I used O and M to learn how to cross streets safely and using a white cane to navigate, but it’s always nice to use it when learning a new area.  ?
