Positive Exposure Exhibit

This past weekend, I went to the Health Museum exhibit about Positive Exposure and it was amazing. I am so glad he decided to include me in his exhibit. It is such an honor. Rick is one of the most self-less people I have ever met. He photographs people with differences all around the world. He photographed me at a conference at the Health Museum in 2016 and I got asked to be an ambassador for the PEARLS Project. Of course, I said yes because this unique opportunity to show the world the real me behind my skin condition is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I COULD NOT pass up. Now, this PEARLS Project and what Rick does to help and inspire people all around the world blows my mind to this day. One reason is because, if you or someone you know is not affected by a difference you could care less about all the stares, bullying, and mistreating going on (even though the bullying doesn’t happen to me, it does happen to some of my friends with differences like mine). But out of the blue comes this self-less person, Rick, who is tired of all the lines defining beauty, so he begins a mission to show the world that beauty doesn’t have a specific definition (tall, long hair, clear skin, etc.), there is a different beauty in every person. I love that I get to support his mission by being a PEARLS Ambassador and proving to the world that beauty is more that what you see in models and on magazine covers.
