Stuttering
By: Georgie
Stuttering for me began at a very young age. I alway felt uncomfortable speaking in public. It wasn’t always difficult for me but it was when I was at a young age. I belive I was in my teens when I began speech therapy with this wonderful woman called Catherine Montgomery who was an amazing help and a great asset to my life. I liked that I did part work with Catherine and speech therapy. I had exercises like pausing and throat talking using your throat muscles. Things now are different because the throat talking is more able to do so. We did pausing, too, where I had to pause in between sentences. I was only made fun of a few times. Now that I have had that therapy I feel more confident public speaking.
