Super Fun!

Happy New Year!

I hope you’re staying warm… it’s so cold here in Michigan.  A lot of the districts cancelled school today.  While I don’t like the cold, I am glad it’s happening now instead of a few weeks ago.  This was the first year that I went to something called “Holiday Nights” which is held at The Henry Ford’s Greenfield Village.  It’s an outdoor living history museum.  Every year they host Holiday Nights where you can walk around at night and see how the buildings have been decorated, go ice-skating, take a ride in a restored Model T car and more.  My sister has gone for years but it had always been too cold for me.  :(  This year I was looking for something to do with my friends Danielle and Aaron (and one of his friends) so I decided to give it a try.  It was quite the adventure.  :)  Some of the highlights:

  • We listened to a dramatized excerpt of “A Christmas Carol”.
  • Aaron decided to be silly & talk in the 3rd person frequently- “Aaron doesn’t like lines”.  “Aaron wants to see the fireworks” “Aaron says….”
  • Despite Aaron’s protests, we waited in line for 45 minutes to go on a 2 minute carousal ride.  We had time to use up before the fireworks. We all piled into one little circle bench spot and I had the most room out of everyone. lol
  • Watched the fireworks.
  • I almost drove my chair off a curb.  Whoops.

After the fireworks we headed to Applebee’s for half-off apps.  Don’t ask me why, but we ordered basically every kind of app on the menu.  It was kinda ridiculous haha.  But super fun. :)
