Week 2/4- 2/11
By: Arielle
So this week was really busy. I taught Monday and then I had to prepare for Crossroads (2/10). I also had a bunch of students come in for tutoring hours, which is nice, but they also need help with “everything” and I can’t cover the whole French language in an hour! I also had to spend time writing a 200 word composition for my Portuguese class (now I know how my students feel). I also had a class canceled on Thursday because everyone is getting the flu. I’m trying to avoid it because I have tests for the next two weeks. I spent all Saturday listening to some talks and giving my own. I was assigned an afternoon time, so I had a lot of time to kill (and a lot of readings to read for Tuesday…..). It was nice to have lunch with my feel Frenchies Saturday, while we were waiting for the third session to start. Currently, I have a sore throat from talking too much. My parents are also coming to Athens this morning and they’re going to take me to Trader Joe’s and we will go out for lunch. Maybe do something else productive.
I also didn’t do work all week. I spent an hour on line waiting to try the bubble waffle. It was a bit too sugary for me because it was loaded with cookie dough, chocolate sauce and M&Ms, but I can cross this off my UGA bucket list.
