What makes a good Doctor, in my mind and experience, is somebody who is thorough, warm, and checks everything. My doctor right now is Dr. H. She is worthy of praise and admiration; she is warm and takes things seriously. When I am sick or need something checked, she says, “Not to worry.’” And then I stop worrying almost instantly. She checks everything and is always there for me. A good doctor also emails you when you have a specific question. A good doctor always responds to emails and always keeps things confidential. That is what makes a good doctor. Anybody who goes through medical school should know that being warm and thorough is very important, but be truthful and don’t lie to the patient. My doctor also checks everything on a male patient, which is helpful.
