Olive living with asthma
I am 33 years old from Scotland. I used to work as a staff nurse specializing in home dialysis particularly peritoneal dialysis. Due to severe asthma and multiple hospital
admissions requiring ICU many times I had to stop this work. Since then I have had the opportunity to increase my asthma advocacy work which has also lead me to be involved in research. My involvement in research is working as a patient partner alongside clinicians and researchers to ensure that the research being done is going to benefit those with asthma and is applicable meaning that recruitment and retention to studies will be maintained. I am also involved in lacrosse as a coach at schools and universities in Scotland as well as goalie coach for the Scotland U19 Women’s Lacrosse team and assistant manager for the Senior Women’s Team
