AU REVOIR 2023!

It’s time to say goodbye to 2023. It was a crazy year! I got to do a lot of things this year! I’m writing a song, I took a lot of theatre classes, I got to talk with genetic counseling students about rare disease, and I represented California at Rare Disease Week on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC!

But the biggest thing that happened in 2023 was that I got to go to Europe for the first time. Paris was so beautiful. I saw the Mona Lisa, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, Versailles (which is the picture here), and Disneyland Paris. In London I saw Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. I visited the Harry Potter studios and Stonehenge. And, then we went on a Disney cruise and I saw more parts of England, Scotland, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.

I don’t really have a favorite thing I did. I’ve never been any of those places before, so it was all new. One thing I wanted to do since I was 8 years old was visit Monet’s gardens, and I was so excited to do that! I would like to visit the gardens again in different seasons. But maybe not winter, because it would be really cold and a lot of things wouldn’t be blooming.

It was great to be able to travel again and I hope I get to go more new places in 2024!
