You know I love comics, superheroes, Star Wars, and mutants (I am one!). I especially like that there are such strong female characters. Here are some of my favorites:

Kim Possible – growing up I loved watching Kim Possible . She had the “girl that can do anything” attitude I love. When she said, ” it’s no big,” I take her attitude to heart. She shows that you can do anything you set your mind to, and mindset is everything.

Ms. Marvel – Ms. Marvel is kind of like the ultimate fan girl who becomes her own superhero. She also has the never give up attitude. And she represents the kind of hero who wants to make a difference right in her own community.

Captain Marvel  – Captain Marvel has one thing that really stood out to me: She always gets up again! This stood out to me when I broke my leg. For a while, I thought I was never going to be able to do the things I loved again (like surfing!). But, I realized I had to get back up and keep moving, even after I got knocked down.

Ahsoka Tano – I like how Ahsoka never gives up on doing what’s right. She uses the Force of inside her to guide her. Ahsoka is a big reason why I made using my voice a goal. I want to advocate for what’s right, and for people who might not be able to use theirs.

Honey Lemon – I love this character from Big Hero 6. She always has me smiling she reminds me that you can be smart and a hero at the same time.

While I’m stuck inside, quarantined like everyone else like in America, I’m going to think about my girl power heroes. They are the ones who keep me strong!
