Someone asked me last week if I would like to greet people as they came to an event. They said it would be good because, “visibility is important.” She thought it was good for others to see people with disabilities in the community.

I think visibility is a good thing. But you don’t really get to know each other. Just saying hi isn’t the same thing as telling my story.

Visibility is ok. But inclusion is better.
