This weekend I went to one of my favorite fan conventions. It’s all about Doctor Who, who is a time traveler and is featured in a tv show, comics, and books. I like to do cosplay, which is dressing up as characters from your favorite shows. For example, in this picture I am dressed as Rose, who is one of Doctor Who’s companions (which is like a side kick to a super hero). I’m holding a Rose doll, that I won in an auction while I was there. At conventions, you also get to meet favorite celebrities from shows. This weekend, I met Deep Roy, who plays the Oompa Loompa in Johnny Depp’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. What I like best about fan conventions is meeting a lot of people who love all the same things I love. It makes me feel like I belong. You should try it! It’s fun!
