Hello there!

My name is Morgan and I am 24. I live in Saratoga Springs, NY. Our motto here is Health, History and Horses. To piggyback off that, let’s talk about my health. After all, I know that’s why you dropped by my page. I have Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy and am a part of the most recent FRAMES project for CP, my CP affects my legs, my fine motor skills and my ability to process information because of this funny word called PVL.

Periventricular leukomalacia (PVL) is a type of brain injury that affects premature infants. The condition involves the death of small areas of brain tissue around fluid-filled areas called ventricles. The damage creates “holes” in the brain. “Leuko” refers to the brain’s white matter. “Periventricular” refers to the area around the ventricles.

My grey matter was not affected in this process that allows me to speak and is also why lots of people with CP have very different medical cases. None of us living with it are truly the same.
